Alone Time

Then I lunched on the prickly lawn.
And on still I played in the evening shade;
And I dined when the sun was gone.
Then under the moon and the stars, in the cool,
I just drank up the night and played on.
When finally worn out and headed for bed,
As I swallowed my milk with a yawn,
I so happily thought of the delicious day
I'd be building my dreams all upon.
